Robbie Keane took his goal tally for the season to nine including three in the FA Cup.

He said: "We are pleased to have got this win for everyone, the fans, the manager and ourselves. It was something that had been on the cards for a while and was long overdue. We'd been pushing but we hadn't got to this level."

Fulham came out for the second half in determined fashion, but Spurs with Young-Pyo Lee, Anthony Gardner returning in defence held firm.

"It is frustrating when you're not getting results. At the end of the day we weren't producing and we knew we weren't doing as well as we should so we had to look at ourselves. On Sunday, it wasn't just the 4-0, but the play as a team over 90 minutes was superb," added Keane.

Martin Jol said: "There were two sides to our game on Sunday. Defensively we were very good and we competed well against a tough team - Michael Dawson and Anthony Gardner were particularly strong at the back, while all the players performed with determination and passion. Then we were clinical in taking our chances when they came along.

"We scored two very simple goals from Mido flick-ons, which were finished very well by Robbie Keane but that's how you can score goals as well. The first goal was great, quick and that's what we said beforehand - we wanted to score early.

"Mido came in because they had six big guys who are dangerous from set-pieces and he showed me that he wants to play for us and do the business."

"We lost the initiative in the second half but luckily enough we scored the second goal with Mido and Robbie combining again. They were brilliant strikes from Robbie and that was the difference. He's a quality player."

"We kept a clean sheet for the first time in a long while against Premiership opposition. We had a team who proved they wanted to do well, who wanted to grind out a result."

Paul Robinson said: "It was just nice to be there to make a few saves and contribute towards a great result. As a team it couldn't have gone better for us - everybody won their own individual battles. We went out there and put on a performance."

"It was very pleasing, a good defensive display and a great all-round team performance, probably one of our best this season."

"It was a rugged performance away from home and two top-quality finishes from Robbie Keane set us on our way," said Chris Hughton.
