Tom Huddlestone reflected on how he used Ledley King's example, as he skippered the England Under 21's to victory in Alkmaar on Tuesday night.
The Spurs midfielder said: "Obviously normal captain Nigel Reo-Coker pulling out the squad with injury was a massive bonus for myself personally."
"The day before the game Sammy Lee called my hotel room to make sure I wouldn't have a problem with being captain. It was a nice feeling when he told me.
"To be first out the changing room as captain was a thrill, especially with getting the win."
"I tried to just play my own game and I was similar to Ledley in my captaincy. Not the most vocal on the pitch."
