The Swiss winger had been involved in Tottenham’s best attacking moves at Selhurst Park before his withdrawal just before half time.
"I was deeply disappointed to have to come off and miss the second half. I felt it was going well at the time and I wanted to carry on," he said.
A scan taken after Tottenham’s worst defeat of the season showed that damage to the 19-year-old's hamstring is only minor, so he could be back in the side to face Portsmouth on February 5.
Tottenham’s other first team casualties Rohan Ricketts and Fredi Kanoute are also recovering from slight knocks.
