The game was end to end from the very first moment and WOW the goal that sealed it was nothing short of amazing. I?m sat at home in a euphoric state and you know what ... I can?t quite believe what I have seen from a Tottenham side who showed fight, determination and grit that can only be down to one man, and that credit goes to AVB for his team spirit, and it showed after Bale's third goal and how he rushed to Villas Boas to celebrate with him, is this the question as to why he never, as a manager worked at Chelsea, maybe who knows, but what he has installed in spurs is nothing short of amazing.
Redknapp was good but AVB for me anyway is nothing short of amazing.
The team itself can be proud of themselves tonight, they worked hard for each other and it was a joy to see. Can spurs say they are more than a one man team?, I think they can judging by the way they played tonight, its just unfortunate for the team Bale stands out for me as sensational.
The question is will Bale be at white hart lane next year. As a fan I hope they can I hope they get the champions league they deserve and keep hold of the one man who is quite frankly setting the premier league alight, credit to West Ham they battled hard and to be fair the result was a little unjust as they did they deserve the draw probably, did they play well? yes they did. Did they stop Bale? no they didn't, is he unplayable at this moment in time .... show me anyone better in the world.
The question we asked as writers is can spurs hang on to third or fourth spot, or can they catch city and go second, with the way they are playing and what I have seen tonight I think it is possible to catch city, and stay above the teams below.
I know this seems a very one sided article and yeah it does, I know it, but please let me say without a West Ham team who pushed spurs and at one point, led the game they deserve to push forward and I?m sure big Sam will ask the team to play like that every week. They should easily catch the teams above as they were outstanding, just unfortunately spurs have Bale and that?s all I can say on that.
