We need to get tough - JJ

Jermaine Jenas' message to his teammates was simple after a seventh league defeat away from home this season.

Jenas said: "We need to start being a little bit more resilient away from home than we were this time because we know how good we can be, but we also know we've got to start picking up results."

Martin Jol said: "We have to prove to people that we can be solid, physical and professional in what we do and I feel that we will because while we have been a bit vulnerable lately we are still developing as a team and unit.

"I feel there is a lot of growth to come in this team and we will show that, but sometimes you have to be patient. All we need is a bit of time."

Robbie Keane said: "We know that not getting a win will not last with the players we have. We've got too many good players to just sit back and accept it."

Paul Robinson said: "We have talked about things and what has gone wrong. The first 20 minutes (against Sheffield) was the best we have played away from home. It wasn't an easy game, but we seemed to roll over a bit too easily."

The Brammal Lane playing surface was evidence that Yorkshire along with the rest of the British Isles had been swept by rain and snow over the last week.

"Having to deal with the conditions on any given day is part of English football. The pitch at Bramall Lane was the topic of some conversation after the game but I think we dealt with the conditions," added Jol.

"We knew the game was going to be how it was, with the conditions and the pitch but that's no excuse - it was the same for them," added Jenas.
