Their early exit from the FA Cup this season and a waterlogged pitch at Fratton Park meant the Gunners had free weekends ahead of both away legs at Real Madrid and Juventus respectively.
Barring a disaster of some kind, that's all about to change in the semi-finals because the north London derby at Highbury comes right ahead of their trip to Villarreal.
Wenger said: "We were bit lucky. Before our first game against Real Madrid we didn't play because we were out of FA Cup and we didn't play at Portsmouth as well [before the first game against Juventus]."
The first leg against the Spaniards, will be a home game for a change and the weekend before that tie it's Dennis Bergkamp Day at Highbury. They say cheerio to their home while hosting West Bromwich Albion, whilst ironically celebrating the one Gooner who's missed so many European nights due to the Dutchman's fear of flying.
