The Spanish Giants now feel that a loan move to Tottenham would be beneficial for the striker, whom they previously refused to sell.
The Tottenham boss was hoping to sign the 21-year old Madrid striker during the summer as part of the Gareth Bale deal to Real. But the Giants? boss, Carlo Ancelotti, blocked the move at the time.
Ancelotti has had a change of heart since then because he believes that it will help Morata?s career.
The White Hart Lane club have opened up talks again with Morata?s camp and Villas-Boas has made personal contact with the player in order to persuade him to make a move to the Premier League.
The Spurs have also managed to convince the Spanis under-21 international?s representatives that a move for him at this time would be very good as he will get regular playing time.
Reports have claimed that Tottenham and England striker Jermain Defoe is ready for a move away from White Hart Lane, with MLS? team Toronto interested.
Defoe has also caught the eye of Sunderland, Hull and West Ham as they promise more games for the England international during a World Cup year.
However, Spurs will not send Defoe packing anytime soon unless they have reinforcements arriving in the January transfer window. At the moment, Tottenham?s main priority and focus for January is on Morata.
