Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is weighing up a January move for Valencia hitman Roberto Soldado.

Redknapp wants to bolster his attacking options as Spurs chase success this season, and has been keeping an eye on Soldado's impressive form in Spain.

Any move in the new year could well depend on Spurs managing to find a buyer for Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Soldado is a firm favourite at Valencia, and the club will be sure to put up a fight should Spurs make an offer.

The Londoners would face competition for his services, with scouts from German giants Bayern Munich watching the player at close quarters this week with Valencia's match at Bayer Leverkusen.

Soldado began his career with Real Madrid, before two years with Getafe. He joined Valencia last year.
