Tottenham confident Antonio Conte will remain at club beyond summer

Tottenham are confident that Antonio Conte will be at the club next season despite reports in France linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, 90min understands.

Conte joined Spurs in November 2021 following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, having shunned their previous advances in June.

Since Conte's arrival, Tottenham have worked their way back into the top-four race but have slipped to fifth in the Premier League table following a loss to Brighton and a draw with Brentford.

The Italian has at times suggested that he could walk away from his contract - which runs until 2023 with an option for a further year - if Tottenham are unable to match his ambitions, and links to PSG have surfaced amid Spurs' recent blip in form.

However, 90min understands that the north London club are confident that Conte is committed to his current project in the long-term.

Though there is expected to be a managerial vacancy at PSG this summer with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino on the verge of leaving the club, the French champions' top target remains Zinedine Zidane and not Conte.

Back at Tottenham, 90min reported last week that Spurs are keen on re-signing Christian Eriksen once his contract at Brentford expires in the summer.

The Dane is open to returning to the club, but a move is largely dependent on Conte - who Eriksen played under in his 18 months at Inter - staying on as head coach.
