Tottenham cruised to a 4-1 victory at home to a deflated Crystal Palace on Sunday evening, with Harry Kane and Gareth Bale influential as Spurs made it four straight wins for their side.
Spurs were always on top from the first whistle and eventually went ahead for all of their possession after 25 minutes when Kane squared for Bale to finish. The hosts always looked comfortable, but were punished on the stroke of half-time as Christian Benteke headed in an equaliser.
Tottenham were quick off the blocks after the break and regained the lead through Bale after 49 minutes, before adding a third just two minutes later when Kane scored a long-range effort. Jose Mourinho's side looked much better from then on while Palace looked defeated and couldn't get near the hosts.
The Eagles fleetingly found space as the game grew on against a Tottenham defence that still remains somewhat shaky, but were consigned to defeat when Kane added a fourth for Spurs after 76 minutes, securing the three points and sending his side above Liverpool in the Premier League table.
Right then, time for some player ratings.
TOTTENHAM RATINGS
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Hugo Lloris (GK) - 5/10 - Was never getting near Benteke's header but was otherwise largely untroubled.
Matt Doherty (RB) - 6/10 - Shaky first half from Doherty whose passing was poor. He improved after the break, though, and was much better disciplined in his movement, grabbing an assist for his efforts.
Davinson Sanchez (CB) - 5/10 - Sanchez left the stepping out to his colleague, but was ill-positioned in the run up to the equalising header and left Benteke completely free.
Toby Alderweireld (CB) - 5/10 - The better of Spurs' two central defenders, but could've done more in alerting Sanchez to Benteke before he scored.
Sergio Reguilon (LB) - 6/10 - The Spaniard was constantly bombing forward to varying degrees of success, but also recovered his position well when needed.
2. Midfielders
Harry Winks (CM) - 5/10 - Lethargic performance from Winks who let the game pass him by, only moving the ball sideways and backwards.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) - 7/10 - The Dane always made himself available to receive the pass and got equally as stuck in out of possession. Set the tempo for his side who were scintillating when passing quickly.
Lucas Moura (AM) - 8/10 - Moura did very well to effectively press Milivojevic into giving the ball away, which led to Spurs' opener, and continually won the ball back for his side before driving at defenders.
3. Forwards
Gareth Bale (RW) - 9/10 - Bale made Spurs tick throughout. Picked up a good position at the back post to bag his first goal, and started off a brilliant move before finishing with his head to make it a brace. Five goals in four games.
Harry Kane (ST) - 10/10 - Notched two fine assists for his side, before getting among the goals himself by finishing off another quick move with a scorching first-time effort. Added a second goal late on, finishing another fine move. Unbelievably complete performance from the Englishman.
Son Heung-min (LW) - 7/10 - A quiet night for Son, but he still managed to walk away with a well-taken assist, beautifully cushioning the ball across to Kane to make it 4-1.
4. Substitutes
Erik Lamela - 5/10
Moussa Sissoko - 5/10
Carlos Vinicius - N/A
CRYSTAL PALACE RATINGS
5. Goalkeeper & defenders
Vicente Guaita (GK) - 5/10 - Nothing he could do to stop Spurs' opener and was helpless in their second-half onslaught. His defenders had to do more.
Joel Ward (RB) - 5/10 - With Tottenham's best attacks coming from the opposite flank, Ward's night wasn't terrible, but he never really found a rhythm and was always chasing.
Cheikhou Kouyate (CB) - 4/10 - Kouyate struggled to assert himself in the air and was well off in trying to stop Bale's headed finish. Also a little lax on the ball; a theme throughout for the Eagles.
Gary Cahill (CB) - 4/10 - Gave away a soft but unnecessary foul in the first half which saw him booked. Also lost Kane for Spurs' second and got caught under the ball. Has to do more to ease the pressure on his colleague.
Patrick van Aanholt (LB) - 5/10 - Dealt well with the threat of Bale and Matt Doherty in the first half when caught one vs one with either of the duo. Things soured as the game drew on, however, and the Dutchman struggled when Spurs sped things up.
6. Midfielders
Andros Townsend (RM) - 4/10 - Offered his side very little from the right flank and could hardly find a way into the game.
Jairo Riedewald (CM) - 4/10 - Was chasing the game far too often for the most part. Couldn't get anywhere near Lucas Moura and didn't press Kane quickly enough which allowed him to score.
Luka Milivojevic (CM) - 5/10 - Too slow on the ball and gave it away cheaply as his side went behind, but picked himself up and bagged a great assist from a cross.
Eberechi Eze (LM) - 5/10 - Tremendously skilful in possession, but lacked the service to continually cause Matt Doherty any threat. Hooking him at half-time for Wilfried Zaha felt very harsh.
7. Forwards
Jordan Ayew (ST) - 5/10 - Worked hard off the ball to fashion openings for his side, but it often left him well out of place to score a goal.
Christian Benteke (ST) - 6/10 - Gave Toby Alderweireld something to think about when his side found an avenue forward, and pulled his side level with great movement and a bullet header.
8. Substitutes
Wilfried Zaha - 6/10 - Showed his quality in glimpses on his return from injury and hit the post after 68 minutes.
Jeffery Schlupp - 5/10
Jean-Philippe Mateta - N/A
