The Tottenham Hotspur lineup that should start against Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur play host to Wolves on Sunday afternoon, as they look to keep any sort of hope of a top six finish alive.

Spurs' dim Champions League hopes were crushed last time out as they fell to a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Leeds, after a 4-0 thumping of Sheffield United in their previous Premier League fixture. That loss has left them seventh in the table, now four points behind Liverpool in fifth.

Sunday's game will be Ryan Mason's fifth in charge of Spurs. He has so far seen his team win two and lose two, including a 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the League Cup final last month.

Wolves have nothing to play for, sitting safe in mid-table, although the fact that they have won three of their last five Premier League games suggests they could be very tough opponents for Mason's men. So, to come out on top, here's the Spurs lineup that should start.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Hugo Lloris (GK) - The Spurs captain has saved his side on numerous occasions this season and will certainly start once more.

Serge Aurier (RB) -
Wasn't great last time out and will be hoping to have a game more like the one against Sheffield United, in which he bagged a brace of assists.

Toby Alderweireld (CB) -
Despite the 3-1 loss to Leeds, he played fairly well and his passing range could help Spurs unlock Wolves' back line.

Joe Rodon (CB) -
After Eric Dier's calamitous performance last time out, the Welshman deserves another opportunity to impress.

Sergio Reguilon (LB) -
With Ben Davies still out of action, it will surely fall on Reguilon to play left-back once more.

2. Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) - It's been a phenomenal debut campaign for the Dane, becoming so instrumental to the side and so far not missing a minute of Premier League action, though has looked rusty in recent weeks.

Tanguy Ndmobele (CM) -
Hasn't started the last two but should come back in to replace Giovani Lo Celso. Can impact things from deep with his power and drive.

Dele Alli (AM) - Has performed well recently, showing liveliness and creativity. His assist last time out should be enough to earn him a start on Sunday.

3. Forwards

Lucas Moura (RW) - Gareth Bale followed up a hat trick against Sheffield United with a dismal display at Leeds. That inconsistency could open the door to Moura for this one.

Harry Kane (ST) -
Nothing needs to be said about this man, really. His importance to Spurs and his 34 Premier League goal contributions make him a guaranteed starter for any game.

Son Heung-min (LW) -
Four goals and an assist in his previous six matches shows he's getting back to top form. Another opportunity to bag some more goals on Sunday.
