Spurs' 2-1 victory over their bitter local rivals was overshadowed by offensive chanting from both sets of supporters.
Sections of the home crowd taunted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger while some away fans were widely condemned for mocking the deadly gun attack on the Togo team bus which Emmanuel Adebayor survived.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp launched a stinging attack on the Arsenal fans, describing the chants at former Gunners striker Adebayor as "disgusting".
Tottenham confirmed that several fans from both the home and away sections of crowd were ejected from White Hart Lane during the game.
In line with the club's zero-tolerance policy on abusive chanting, they have also promised to ban any guilty party for life.
"It is club policy to ban fans that are found guilty of abusive chanting," a club spokeswoman said.
"We evicted several fans at the time during the match. The way we deal with large numbers is we take out one or two of the ring-leaders who are initiating the chants."
Spurs have taken steps to stamp out abusive chanting in recent times.
The club have extensive CCTV coverage of all stands and have displayed posters and stickers at White Hart Lane urging fans to report any offensive chanting.
Arsenal and the Football Association are yet to comment on the chants at Sunday's game.
