Arsene Wenger, Pat Rice, Emmanuel Adebayor, William Gallas, Theo Walcott, Alan Davies, Paul Merson, Alan Smith, Nigel Winterburn, Tony Adams, Martin Keown, Charlie Nicholas, Bruce Rioch, John Lydon, Dido, Peter Hill-Wood, Aled Jones, Colin Firth, Sol Campbell... your boys took one hell of a beating!

Eight long years Tottenham fans have had to wait for a night like tonight and boy was it worth the wait. We outfought, outplayed and outsung our North London rivals on an evening that answered the question 'could we beat Arsenal?' with an emphatic yes. Beautifully flowing attacking football supplemented spirit and determination and we proved just how much more we wanted than an arrogantly lax Arsenal side.

Credit must go to both the players and no less importantly the staff for engineering such a resounding victory. Regardless of any preprepared excuses, we were the best side over both ties by quite some margin and we fully deserve our day out at the home of football.

Although picking out individuals for praise takes the spotlight off what was an immense team effort, special mention should go to Jermaine Jenas, who was phenomenal on the night, as well as Teemu Tainio, whose selection was inspired. The list goes on however. Ledley King was imperious, as was Michael Dawson, and Aaron Lennon and Dimitar Berbatov wove magic for the cause. Credit should also go to the home crowd who sung the players to victory and made a mockery of the home support in the first leg.

So much can be taken from the game that it would be hard to list without getting indulgent but a few points are particularly salient. Firstly, we have finally got a manager who knows how to instil belief for big games. Our performance was such that we never allowed Arsenal a moment to settle in the opening stages, just as we required. Regardless of how the final goes, I genuinely believe, under Ramos, this team can really go places. Secondly, the result goes a long way to vindicating the decision of the board to relieve Jol and replace him with Ramos. Could this have happened under Jol? Despite my respect for the lovable Dutchman, I don't believe it could. Under Ramos? Anything is possible.

Right now I'm going to slip back into euphoria. SPURS ARE ON THEIR WAY TO WEMBLEY!
