Smash & Grab win for Spurs.

A priceless 3 points for Spurs going into the international break, which against the odds has kept the early season momentum going.

The Toffees blitzed Spurs for most of the 1st half with Redknapp & Mendes constantly harried into losing possession leaving King & Naybet to mop up.

Everton had 3 good chances to take lead, one hitting the woodwork, On this sort of form, easy to see why they are 3rd in the league as for 35/40 mins they put Spurs under the most pressure they have faced this season.

Spurs did get a toehold late in the 1st half with Defoe having a couple of half chances & Keane having an effort, correctly ruled out for offside.

At half time some sort of fracas occurred between Atouba & Hibbet, but have no idea what it was about, suspect the usual “handbags at dawn” type of thing.

Much more even, if bad tempered 2nd half notable for a Pamarots goal, a horror tackle from Redknapp, which although unintentional should have been a straight red card, and the return of Duncan Disorderly.

Hopefully the Spurs “Bus” can be patched up in the next two weeks for the visit to Pompey, as it took something of a battering at Goodison.
