Shocked King given the nod

Ledley King has admitted his double surprise at being selected for the England squad and also picked for starting eleven in tonight's game against Portugal. King, who was worried that his midfield role at Tottenham would lesser his chances of a defensive one in the national side will partner Gareth Southgate as John Terry and Sol Campbell both miss out. The game is a 9.15pm kick off.
