Sherwood off to Portsmouth

Sherwood is set to move to Fratton Park after finalising financial terms with Spurs over the remaining five months of his contract at White Hart Lane.

Pompey have agreed personal terms, but Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie said: "There is still time for something to go wrong. I won't relax until he puts pen to paper."

Sherwood will sign for Pompey until the end of the season, with a view to a longer contract at the end of the season.
