The Dutchman picked out his lightning fast attackers Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe for special praise, after both players have begun to feature more prominently again in the starting line-up.
"Aaron has done well in the last couple of weeks and has been productive. Jermain Defoe also did well because he chased down Melchiot for the first goal at Birmingham and he did the same against West Brom."
Lennon, who this week signed a new contract at Spurs until 2010, said: "I am delighted to extend my stay at the club because I have enjoyed my time here and I think it has shown in my game."
"I was on the bench for a few games and I think it was a good break for me, to be fair. I was saying to my dad, everything has gone better than I thought and I never suspected that I would play so many games - it has been a dream for me, everything has gone perfectly."
