The 30-year-old striker has made just seven Barclays Premier League appearances for Spurs this season, and is keen to leave White Hart Lane this month in a bid for first-team football.

West Ham are interested in Keane and are set to take the Republic of Ireland international initially on loan until the end of the season for a £1m fee.

The Hammers have also agreed to pay Keane's £65,000-a-week wageswith a view to taking him on in a £6m permanent deal if they avoid thedrop at the end of the season.

Tottenham accepted a £6m offer from Birmingham for Keane earlierthis month, but the striker refused to discuss terms with the StAndrew's club.
