Richarlison is closing in on a £60m move from Everton to Tottenham after three seasons at Goodison Park.
The Brazilian played a crucial role in the Toffees avoiding relegation last campaign and is expected to join a Spurs side looking to push on from their fourth place finish under Antonio Conte.
There's going to be plenty of shuffling and reshuffling in regard to Tottenham's shirt numbers for the 2022/23 term, but where will Richarlison fit in?
Here are 90min's thoughts...
Tottenham shirt numbers currently available
Given he's going to be Tottenham's marquee signing of the summer, it would make sense for the club to bestow Richarlison with an important shirt number from the off.
And wouldn't you know it, they've got the number nine shirt free. It's hardly a prestigious one at Spurs - the likes of Roberto Soldado and Vincent Janssen both failed in that particular jersey, while Gareth Bale was given it for his loan spell back in north London in 2020/21.
Dele Alli's 20 is also available following his move to Everton, while 13, 16, 17, 22, 24 and 26 are all free.
Tottenham shirt numbers that might become available
If the number nine shirt doesn't take Richarlison's fancy, he could take a number off one of the many maligned stars on the fringes of Tottenham's squad.
Bryan Gil (11), Giovani Lo Celso (18) and Steven Bergwijn (23) all look certain to move on this summer and could relinquish control of their numbers, while Tanguy Ndombele (28) is unlikely to be at the club come August.
Joe Rodon's 14 may also be up for grabs given his likely summer departure, Should Richarlison take that number, he'll have the tough task of living up to the standards set by Luka Modric and, er, Clinton N'Jie and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.
Harry Winks could also leave his eight jersey behind, but it's more likely Oliver Skipp (29) or Yves Bissouma (unassigned) will take control there.

After a season in Everton's number 30 outfit, Richarlison switched to their number seven from the 2019/20 campaign onwards.
Unfortunately for the Brazil international, Son Heung-min currently has that jersey at Spurs and given his standing as one of the most popular players at the club it's unlikely it'll be ripped away from the 2021/22 Golden Boot winner.
Richarlison wore number 11 with Watford, while his role as Brazil's out and out striker has seen him frequently trot out with nine on his back on international duty. If he fancies a wild throwback to his Fluminense days, the number 70 shirt is free at Spurs.
