The Spurs boss has managed to make just one addition to his squad so far this summer, Brazilian midfielder Sandro moving to White Hart Lane last month.
However Redknapp has said that he would like to bring in some more new faces before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
"We are nowhere near at the moment," he said after Spurs' 3-2 friendly win against Fiorentina at the Lane on Saturday.
"We could do with more experience in the squad and I know the two or three players I want.
"Those players could make the difference and they are not expensive - we need them to push on and keep improving.
"We are not going to win the Premier League as it stands, but we have a chance if we get the players I'm after."
