Harry Redknapp remains hopeful that David Beckham will be allowed to play for Tottenham in the coming weeks in a loan deal from Los Angeles Galaxy.Beckham, 35, began training with Spurs on Tuesday but has yet to receive the green light from his American club.
Spurs boss Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "It's complicated but you never know. We'll see how it goes."
Former England captain Beckham, who has come through a fitness test, has agreed to train with Spurs until 10 February.
Beckham is believed to be keen to play for Tottenham before returning to Los Angeles for their opening match of the Major League Soccer season against the Seattle Sounders on 15 March.
And Redknapp added: "It's great to have him here. We worked hard to get him here hoping that he could come and play.
"He's a fit lad, he looks like he's in great condition, looks like he looks after himself, he's a model professional so that won't be a problem.
"Whether it will be possible to do it, I'm not sure."
If Tottenham tie up a deal this week, Beckham could by in line to make his debut against his former club Manchester United at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
