Gervinho's future has been the subject of conjecture of late, amidst reported interest from several Premier League sides.
Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool are amongst the sides linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international, whilst Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned.
Paquet, though, has no intention of selling the forward to a divisional rival, while he stated no official offer has been made for the player as yet.
He told La Voix Du Nord: "PSG recently enquired about Gervinho, but they were told we do not wish to sell him to a French club.
"Gervinho's future is uncertain. He could join an English side, or he could stay with us.
"He has to decide exactly what he wants. We are not opposed to the idea of a transfer, but the agreement has to suit us.
"We have yet to receive an offer or proposal."
