The official club website reports that ‘Didier Zokora is set to make his White Hart Lane debut in the pre-season friendly with fellow World Cup participants Paul Robinson, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas and Young-Pyo Lee all likely to touch back down on home soil for the first time this summer.'
Martin Jol said: "We've seen already that Zokora is a terrific player, an all-rounder. He showed at the World Cup he's a quality player, and one of the best in his position in Europe. And from what I've seen already, Benoit (Assou-Ekotto) has done well straight away."
Tottenham's other big summer signing Dimitar Berbatov awaits his first goal on the hallowed turf, following his home debut in pre-season against Inter Milan.
On that occasion, Jol selected a three prong attack, in the absence of the World Cup stars.
Jermain Defoe said: "Berbatov and me up front with Robbie Keane just behind us seemed to work well." (The Sun)
