Last season - 4th
After leading the club to safety the previous season, Harry Redknapp defied all expectations by sensationally leading Spurs to Champions League football.
Despite still having a two-legged tie to win before reaching the competition proper, Tottenham's impressive season was arguably the story of the last campaign.
Michael Dawson, Luka Modric and Gareth Bale all deserve special praise, but the entire quad performed consistently well throughout the entire season, rarely dropping their level of performance.
Wins over local rivals Arsenal and Chelsea helped provide the icing on the cake, although they will regret not coming out victorious against a depleted Portsmouth side in the FA Cup semi-final.

Football.co.uk verdict
Having only added one new player so far, Spurs look unlikely to push on from their success of last year.
Robbie Keane is back and in form but they still lack a world class striker to turn them from a very good team into a great team.
The spending power of Manchester City and experience of the traditional top four means that while they might push fourth spot, a Europa League place looks more likely next season.
Prediction - 5th
