You might have missed the news this week after all the other goings on in Europe, but Jose Mourinho is unemployed once again.
The Portuguese boss was relieved of his duties by Tottenham Hotspur after just 17 months in charge and less than a week out from a cup final. After being hounded by the media outside his home following the news breaking, Mourinho stated he didn't need a break from management hinting he's ready to get straight back into it.
With his reputation taking a hint, where could he next go though? 90min takes a look at his most likely destinations.
7. Germany
It's already official that Joachim Löw will be leaving his role as Germany boss after Euro 2020, so there is a guaranteed vacancy.
Mourinho's style of play wouldn't go down too well with fans however, and that's without mentioning that the German FA would have to go against tradition and hire their first ever foreign manager. The role is Hansi Flick's to lose, whether Mourinho is available or not.

6. Celtic
When Neil Lennon left Celtic earlier this year it was because the gap between themselves and Rangers had grown too large, so who better to close it again than one of the best managers ever?
Mourinho would likely be a name the Bhoys would love to bring in, but realistically there's no chance of this happening. He's too expensive, his ego would never allow him to take a step down in competition in that way and they wouldn't have the resources to build the type of squad he'd want.
Romantic? Maybe. Unrealistic? Definitely.

5. Wolves
Nuno Espirito Santo has done a fantastic job at Wolves but their performances this season suggest that he could possibly be starting to hit his ceiling with them.
With the club's links to Jorge Mendes, a few strings could get pulled to see Mourinho get back into the Premier League quickly and see Nuno leave the club in the summer.
Suitability: 4/10
4. Juventus
You could argue that Jose Mourinho reached his absolute peak when he joined Serie A as manager of Inter back in 2008. He went on to win two league titles including a treble in his final year before leaving for Madrid.
Inter are set to win their first league title since then this season and Juventus are on the edge of falling out of the Champions League places. If that happens, there is surely no way Andrea Pirlo survives and Mourinho is the exact type of manager they could be looking to replace him with.
Suitability: 6/10
3. Newcastle
Some clubs are big but dormant, and Newcastle is one of them. Mourinho is the equivalent of that in management, and this could be exactly both need in order to thrive again.
The Magpies are desperate for something to bring them back to life from the brink of their relegation battles and with Steve Bruce as unpopular as any manager in recent memory this summer could be the perfect time to cut ties.
Bringing in Jose would boost the profile of the club, helping Mike Ashley finally sell and potentially helping to improve the club. Plus, he's said himself that he's a "little magpie" in the past so the fans would love him.
Suitability: 7/10
2. Benfica
Maybe a trip back to where it all began could be the perfect reset for Mourinho.
After the high profile return of Jorge Jesus last summer, Benfica have fallen way behind their rivals in the race for the title and crashed out of the Europa League wayyyy earlier than expected. There are talks he could leave once again, which could open the door for the 'Special One'.
They have a pretty decent budget, will compete for titles and have the money to attract a top manager like Mourinho. It could be the ideal scenario for all parties.
Suitability: 8/10
1. Portugal
While Germany are highly unlikely to bring him in, his home nation could.
Fernando Santos has been in charge since 2014 and oversaw Portugal winning Euro 2016 and the 2019 UEFA Nations League. With Euro 2020 upcoming this summer though, a poor performance could potentially see him step aside before the World Cup in 2022.
That would allow Mourinho to step in as the saviour with the chance to winning the biggest competition in the sport, with one of the best selection of players they've ever had to choose from. Ideal.
