Despite good performances in the previous three, Spurs have taken just two points from opponents near them in the table. Supporters feel the club are due a bit of good fortune after some dubious refereeing decisions cost them in these games.
Full back Paul Stalteri said: "We've got two or three games in a row where we have to get points. We have to start putting back to back wins together and push up the table again."
"It is great when you play huge clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United but the games against Bolton, West Ham and Wigan have the same prize available."
Stalteri has been very impressed by young Aaron Lennon, who missed the defeat at Bolton eight days ago.
He told the Ham&High newspaper: "Aaron has great skill, so much pace and is amazing one-on-one. He has got confidence when he runs at people and he's not afraid.
"He looks to combine [with other players] and you don't find that with young players too often. They just put their heads down and dribble. But with Aaron you can combine with him and link up with him, so he's got all the qualities. I noticed that real early when I started training with him. I thought he was going to be a player and once he establishes himself a bit more and gets that final ball in with a bit of quality he's going to be a great player."
"If one ball bobbles he gets the next one and tries to beat the player again. When a player can put a mistake behind him and not worry about what the fans are doing and be totally unfazed then that is good thing. He's fun to play with and I feel we've started to link up well."
West Ham are the next visitors to White Hart Lane this Sunday before Sunderland make the long trek south on December 3. In between those dates Spurs make another trip to the north-west, to take on this season’s surprise package so far Wigan Athletic.
