Pleat should be praised for Postiga patience

David Pleat should not be forgotten when discussing Helder Postiga's first goal for the club. It would have been very easy for the caretaker manager to drop Postiga after some poor performances in front of goal, especially with Bobby Zamora improving with every game. Postiga had been ridiculed in the media but Pleat had consistently stood by his man saying how impressive he had been in training and admitting that the elusive goal would come soon and once it did, more would follow. It is that kind of man to man management that keeps the players together and a good spirit going in the camp.
