Pleat denies Mourinho reports

Carteaker manager David Pleat has moved swiftly to deny that the club has made an approach for FC Porto boss Mourinho. Reports had been circulated via the Portuguese press that the man who led Porto to UEFA Cup glory last season had turned down a move to Whie Hart Lane. However, Pleat said today that this story was unture, we had not made a move for Mourinho, nor anybody else for that matter. It was rumoured that another target, Martin O'Neill had rejected an approach but had recommended Mourinho to the club.
