Ben Alnwick kept a clean sheet for the reserves in a friendly at Carrow Road.
Clive Allen said: "When Ben was called upon he made two excellent stops, one with his foot, one diving to his left. He's started with a clean sheet and that was good for him and for his confidence."
Alnwick said: "I did have a few nerves beforehand, but I kept a clean sheet, made a couple of saves, fielded a few crosses and kicked well, so I was happy with that.
"They were good up front with two crafty players but our centre-halves did superbly. I was pleased with the second save because he came straight down the middle and I guessed the right way and made the save.
"I hadn't played since October so to step straight back into it here, keep a clean sheet and the way it all went was very pleasing."
Allen added: "The lads had a break over Christmas. Ben and Adel have integrated well. They've all done well in training and in their fitness tests."
"For Adel, obviously there was a big difference to what he's used to but he had some quality touches and a good range of passing.
"It's been an ideal introduction for both of them and good to get them in the group and get a game under their belts. Overall, it was exactly the preparation we wanted before getting back into the swing of things in the league.
