The Honduras international midfielder picked up his tenth booking of the season four minutes from the end of Spurs' FA Cup semi-final defeat against Portsmouth at Wembley on Sunday and will therefore now have to serve an automatic two-match suspension.
Palacios will have to sit out Spurs' two home matches against Arsenal on Wednesday night and Chelsea on Saturday evening.
