Dynamo Kiev have entered the race to sign Niko Kranjcar from Tottenham.
The Croatia midfielder can leave White Hart Lane for about ?7million after struggling to secure first team football since joining from Portsmouth two years ago.
Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg have also shown interest in the 26-year-old, but Kiev have raised the stakes after being knocked back for other targets.
Kiev sounded out Kranjcar's agent last week and club president Igor Surkis confirmed: 'We are negotiating for Kranjcar. We still have to meet him and Tottenham, but he is in our transfer plans.
'We have already missed out on several players - not because we aren't able to meed the demands of their clubs but because not everyone wants to come to the Ukrainian league.
'If Kranjcar thinks over our proposal, searches his soul and wants to come here, then we will buy him with pleasure.'

The Ukrainian giants have up to ?35m to spend this summer and are also fighting Blackburn for Freiburg striker Papiss Cisse after missing out on top target Oscar Cardozo of Benfica.
Rovers had a ?6m bid for Cisse rejected last month, with the German side demanding more than ?13m.
But Kiev are prepared to offer closer to ?10m for the 26-year-old Senegal striker, who has also been watched by Fulham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
