Tottenham’s recent loan signing and executor of two goals on his Premiership debut against Portsmouth last week spoke at a press conference in the Egyptian capital.
The 22-year-old hadn’t been selected for recent international matches, after an excuse used to relieve himself from a long distance trip from Italy in the past backfired.
Mido hopes by showing his sincerest regret for matters concerning his attitude towards the national coach as well as the country’s press will earn him with another chance to play for the Pharoahs.
"I came specially to rejoin the national team and to apologise for all my mistakes because it's not my right to give orders and say when I want to play. In future I will always make sure that I put the national's team's matches as my top priority.
"I do confess that I was rude to the Egyptian press at times but now I have gained more experience I know that the press can support me and also go against me at times so I don't have to overreact when this happens," said Mido.
