After a 45 minute run out against Northampton Town, Mido can almost certainly expect a competitive home debut when Spurs entertain Portsmouth this weekend.
"These games can be tough but I'm happy with how it went. I didn't feel tired, I felt fine and I could have done more but the coach only wanted one half," said Mido.
The Egyptian striker, who has been given the number 15 shirt rather than his preferred 99 because of a football league ruling, was an unused substitute in Tottenham’s Premiership trip to Bolton in midweek.
"I travelled to Bolton with the team and the guys are great, they've helped me settle in, I've done that as fast as I can and I've no problems. I'm very happy with the atmosphere of the club and the team," he added.
Mounir, the former Excelsior forward, scored both goals as Spurs reserves beat Colin Calderwood’s side 2-0, while the first team suffered a 3-1 defeat at the Reebok Stadium, in a game that Fredi Kanoute was shown a red card.
