"Spurs haven’t got an option to buy me. I’m on loan for 18 months and I think we still have a lot of time to think about what we are going to do," he told the Evening Standard.
Mido is starting to replicate his goalscoring form of three seasons ago at Ajax when he was just 19.
"All I’m concerned about is to play well and score a lot more goals," he added.
"I’m very happy here and I’m happy with how things are going, but I can only live for the time. I hope I can stay here for a long time but we still haven’t talked yet - I don’t know when we will."
He added in The Sun newspaper: "I think there’s a lot of potential in this team. We must put ourselves under pressure to carry on getting results.
"Next week we have a hard game at Old Trafford and all we are thinking about is going there. It’s also a nice feeling to go into the North London derby (29 Oct.) ahead of Arsenal."
Mido arrived at White Hart Lane in January, as one of a number of players he felt had been treated unfairly by Roma, after making just one start in Serie A.
Two weeks ago, Tottenham Head Coach Martin Jol confirmed to the press, the club were in the middle of negotiations to make Mido's loan arrangement permanent.
