Modric flew back to London last night for talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy after claiming a transfer to Chelsea was still possible.
However, following the meeting, Levy has claimed Modric now understands the club's position that he will not be sold, no matter how much Roman Abramovich is able to offer.
And now Modric's agent has handed Tottenham fans a massive boost by revealing his client is unlikely to push the matter.
Vuksan said: "I don't think he'll hand in a transfer request. He will honour his contract.
"He wants to play Champions League and win trophies. The only way we can resolve this is to sit down and talk.
