Spurs look to be heading out of this year's tournament as Real Madrid hold a 4-0 first-leg lead ahead of Wednesday's quarter-final clash.
The north Londoners also trail Manchester City in the race for fourth place in the Premier League and there has been speculation that failure to qualify for Europe's biggest club competition could spark an exodus with playmaker Modric and flying winger Gareth Bale likely to attract offers from a host of major clubs.
Happy where he is: Modric, pictured scoring against Stoke at the weekend, insists he is staying at Spurs
But Modric said: 'I don't think we are going to break up, the players have long contracts and we are really enjoying playing here.
'We have learnt a lot this season and I think we can do even better if we get back into the Champions League next season because we have improved.
'We have shown we can compete with the top teams like AC Milan and Inter Milan and I think we deserve to be recognised as one of the big clubs in Europe.
Attracting attention: Bale (centre) has plenty of admirers among some of the biggest teams in Europe
'We are coming and have a chance to be one of the best teams if we stay together, which I think we will.'
Modric accepts that Spurs need a miracle to turn the tables on Real Madrid but the 25-year-old Croatian is not completely ruling out an upset.
He added: 'There is a big belief around the dressing room that we can produce a miracle, but to be honest that is going to be hard because they are a team full of great players. But even if we don't go through, we want to enjoy the game, and this team has a bright future.'
