"I've got to work on it and strengthen it all the time. I managed to play through last season but did have a few problems and I don't want the same this season - I want it to be right. I might have to miss the odd session in training to make sure it is all okay for the new season," said King.
Meanwhile Jermain Defoe is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to play with Edgar Davids, and hopes the Dutchman can add an extra dimension to Tottenham's play next season.
"He’s a great player and a massive name in football and to play with him would mean a lot to me," said Defoe.
"We have a very young squad of good players so it can only benefit us to have the sort of player with his experience," he added.
