The 23-year-old SuperSport United star, who partnered Portsmouth's Aaron Mokoena at the heart of his country's defence when they hosted this summer's World Cup, described a possible move to Spurs as "a dream".
Claiming his agent was close to securing him a trial at White Hart Lane, Khumalo told Football365.co.za: "They are working on it at the moment, but it hasn't been confirmed as of yet.
"It would be a dream. I have always wanted to play in England and obviously in the Premier League and it would be a dream to move to Tottenham - and if it happened, it would be up to me to make sure it works."
