The Spurs striker, who could make his first league start of the season at West Brom tonight has been named in Brian Kerrs 24-man squad for the games against Cyprus at Lansdowne Road on Saturday, September 4th and then against Switzerland in Basle on Wednesday September 8th.
“I was aware that Robbie was making good progress after talking to Chris Hughton and also talking to Robbie so hopefully, he gets some games in the next week and will be ready for us,” said Ireland boss Brian Kerr.
