However, the £3.5 million signing from West Ham is well aware that he will have to fight for his place in the Spurs starting eleven.
"I'm looking forward to playing with Robbie," Kanoute told the official Spurs website.
"I know he's already played in Italy and he is a very skilful player. I think we can have a good relationship.
"I know the club has focused on the forward areas, they have bought a few players and of course Robbie who was here already. I think that competition will be very good from the strikers point of view.
"My goals are to achieve something as a team and personally to do what every striker has to do - to score many goals and have good partnerships with the other strikers."
