Jol to make late decision on defence

With Ledley King's strained metatarsal still sidelining the club captain, Michael Dawson is Martin Jol's only fit central defender with two days to go before Tottenham's FA Cup fifth round clash at Fulham.

Gardner suffered a calf strain in the home defeat against Manchester United at the start of the month. If he doesn't fully recover in time, Jol will be praying Rocha can continue in the side that lost at Sheffield United last Saturday.

Jol said: "Anthony didn't train with the squad today (Friday), but should tomorrow. Ricardo Rocha could be ready after a bad dead leg and hopefully one of he or Anthony will be fit."

"Ledley is on a running programme now and is progressing as expected," he added.

Gardner said: "I've been feeling good recently and will hopefully have the chance of playing a few more games. I have tried hard to stay at the level I left when I last played. I work hard on the training pitch to keep up to speed, the boys all help if you've been out for a bit and it is credit to them."
