After three consecutive victories in eight days to turnaround a disappointing league spell since Christmas, Martin Jol said: "We have done well and taken our chances. The players have responded in the way we wanted to some recent results that went against us."
"We have had good spells this season before injuries and changing the team affected us with so many games and we suffered some indifferent results. We don't want that, but it can happen. Sometimes if the more tenacious of your players are not available then the nature of your team can be different and what you try to get over is that even the more naturally gifted players need to show a bit more strength as well."
"Over the last week the likes of Teemu Tainio and Jermaine Jenas have come back in, while Zokora played in all three games and did really well. Anthony Gardner returned and performed against Fulham and Everton - where we needed his size. It is not that I want a physical approach from the team, but to win games in the Premiership you have to add something and that is a bit of steel. I think the combination has been just right over the last week.
Paul Robinson said: "We've had a great week. We had a difficult time before this week but we've proved a few people wrong."
