Spurs host Chelsea this weekend, a few days before Frank Arnesen, who defected to Stamford Bridge in June, officially starts to work alongside Jose Mourinho.
"The future looks good at Spurs and I want to be part of it. There is still a lot of hard work to do but I have always been determined to see the job through.
"It’s important to develop our players so we become a better side. We want to be in a position like Chelsea to attract the best players, and be able to buy players like Michael Essien when they are a bit younger," he added.
