Spurs boss Martin Jol and midfielder Danny Murphy both reflected on Tottenham's last three games in the league which have only yielded one point.
Jol said: “The chances against Manchester United were 100 per cent chances and it was the same story against Liverpool, we should have scored a goal and then we might have got a result, and also the chances we created against Fulham, we couldn't feel sorry for ourselves afterwards."
“Perhaps we have had a problem with the balance of the team with a couple of players out but the quality has been there.”
Murphy said: “We have not been getting the results and we only have ourselves to blame."
“Of course it was unfortunate that we had injuries but that may have given me my opportunity.
“I have tried to show the gaffer that I am worthy of a regular place and I have really enjoyed it.”
“Results could have been better but my confidence and fitness have both got better by the week. The gaffer has always said to me to bide my time, stay positive and work hard in training.
