The past week has seen Spurs boss Harry Redknapp repeatedly declare there is no reason why his side cannot become Barclays Premier League champions come May. The biggest obstacle to that happening is the north Londoners' current inability to keep a clean sheet, with Tottenham conceding in each of their last 17 games.
"It's something we need to rectify, and soon," he said ahead of tonight's Champions League clash with Werder Bremen.
"It's great winning games 4-3 and so on but there's going to come a point where you need to win 1-0.
"All the top teams do it and it's an area we need to improve on if we are going to do anything special this year."
On paper, Spurs have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet tonight when they take on a Bremen side who have not found the net for four matches.
A win at White Hart Lane would also see Redknapp's men safely through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
"A victory is a victory," Jenas said. "But one with a clean sheet, we'd take a bit more pride in."
Asked if he had curtailed his own attacking instincts since coming back into the side, Jenas joked: "Going by results, no!
"We've got to be very disciplined in there and make sure one of us is holding. We're all attack-minded but it suits the way we play right now."
