Teemu has missed Tottenham's last four games since spraining an ankle in the draw at Fulham. Jermaine was absent for Sunday's defeat against Manchester United after only making his return from an ankle injury a week earlier.
Spurs boss Martin Jol said: "We have to get the ball back and show aggression because recently we have been a little bit vulnerable off the ball. It is not only about passion - they are passionate players - it is about physical and mental strength as well. We have to compete in midfield and having players like Jermaine Jenas and Teemu Tainio back will help."
Chris Hughton revealed yesterday: "We are very, very hopeful over Jermaine Jenas for Saturday, and, again, we expect Teemu Tainio to be fit."
Tainio said: "We have to play well as a team and be ready for the battle, then show some technical skill. Our confidence is still there, but we need to make it more difficult for teams to score against us. This game can be a first step back to picking up some points."
Aaron Lennon was sent home from international duty this week, joining Jenas and Ledley King as England players not involved in the friendly against Spain at Old Trafford.
Hughton added: "Aaron had a very slight gastritis problem, but we expect him to make the trip."
