Two players whose seasons have been troubled by injury even more than Ledley King's.
Paul Stalteri said: "This season has been very isolated because I was used to playing and not being injured."
"It has been frustrating, after my knee injury at MK Dons I didn't feel too bad but I played one game against Southend and got injured again, that was a big fight to get back mentally, when you've just spent six weeks getting back, to face another six weeks of hard work and rehabilitation. It has been a long haul but hopefully that was the end of it.
Lee Barnard said: "I had the operation just to clean up my ankle and remove all the scar tissue and there was a few bits of bone floating about as well."
"From the first operation there were a few complications and the scar tissue restricted me a lot. It was also causing me some pain and I needed this done.
"Before the first operation it was thought it would be six weeks maximum out and I knew I could deal with that, even though it was a long time. After a couple of months I was getting back into running, but it still wasn't right and it was disheartening.
"It did not go to plan, but that was the way it went."
"Then when I first started running I kept telling myself to loosen up and that it would be fine, but it got worse and worse and was affecting me again so I had to tell the physios."
"I've had so many disappointments this season but the gaffer has been great and has always asked me how I'm doing. Him talking to me has provided a little boost that kept me going."
