The 25-year-old, who has made 20 international appearances for his country, signed for Spurs on a one year year loan deal in January but is yet to make a first team appearance and Hoddle has vowed not to rush the player into the first team.
Hoddle said: "I'm pleased with what I've seen so far, but he knows and I know there is more to come.
"The last thing I want to do is push him in too quickly."
