The club's chief executive, Jez Moxey wrote in the programme notes before yesterday's fixture against third placed Watford that Wolves' season had been a "complete disaster" under Hoddle's guise.
With a seventh-place finish looking like the best Wolves can manage, Moxey has turned on Hoddle for not steering the club to within the top six and a play off place at the very least.
He said: "This was our publicly stated minimum target and everyone accepts it should have been achieved."
But Hoddle didn't go along with that and disregarded Moxey's comments. "It's fine if he wanted to put that in the programme," he said.
