Media reports had suggested that the Spurs boss could try to lure the England international pair to White Hart Land but he has played down these reports.
"Upson is a terrific player, but it's not fair, we keep getting linked with players and we're really not looking to do anything in the window. I'd be very surprised if we do anything," Redknapp has said.
"He is a good player, but I don't need another central defender, I've already got good centre-halves at the club.
"David James is a great goalkeeper, a fantastic goalkeeper, world class, but I've got a great goalkeeper here.
"David James is not going to want to be a number two anywhere, he is a number one. Heurelho Gomes is fantastic and has been in great form.
"If David James wants to play for England at the World Cup he needs to play, not be a number two so that is not a possiblity."
